Quick Answer
The Dark Duo bundle combines the Gilded Cartomancer and Black Requiem Counterspell decks at a price that undercuts buying them separately, making it a solid pick for collectors who want two distinct, gilded decks.
Why the Dark Duo Stands Out
The Dark Duo bundle pairs two decks that share a dark, gilded aesthetic but offer different design philosophies. The Gilded Cartomancer is a fully custom deck with gold cold-foil on both sides, one-way court and spot cards, and a tuckbox with multiple foil and embossing details. The Black Requiem Counterspell, on the other hand, brings its own unique style to the table.
What makes this bundle appealing is the combination of variety and value. Instead of picking one, you get two decks that complement each other visually, making it a great addition to a themed collection or a gift for a fellow collector.
Value Check: Is the Dark Duo Worth It?
At a catalog price of $40.15 compared to a combined value of $55.00, the Dark Duo offers a clear saving. For collectors who were already eyeing either deck, the bundle effectively gives you the second deck at a discount.
However, if you're only interested in one of the decks, the bundle might not be the most efficient purchase. In that case, consider whether the extra deck fits your collection or could be traded or gifted.
