Brother McPint Mini Size is a 54-card mini deck with illustrated courts and a foil-stamped tuckbox. Here is who it fits, who should skip it, and how it compares to RAVN X mini.
Quick answer
Buy Brother McPint Mini Size if you want a 54-card mini deck with fully illustrated court cards and a foil-and-embossed tuckbox for pocket carry, travel, or casual games. Skip it if you need poker-size cards for shuffling, magic, or group play; choose RAVN X mini-deck instead when you want a linen-finish mini with a magician-designed origin.
What you actually get in the Brother McPint Mini Size
Brother McPint Mini Size is a 54-card mini deck, 100% custom, with illustrated court cards, jokers, and an ace of spades. The tuckbox uses foil and embossing, and the cards come wrapped in cellophane. The deck's backstory is evidence seized at The Sanctuary, home of a gang of petty criminals disguised as clergy. That narrative detail matters only if you enjoy theme-driven art; otherwise, the practical points are the mini size and the custom illustrations.
How mini size changes handling, games, and travel
Mini cards are roughly half the size of a poker deck, which makes them easier to pocket but harder to shuffle and fan for most adults. They work well for solitaire, simple two-player games, and travel where space is tight. They are not a substitute for a standard deck in games that require holding many cards or performing sleights. If you want a mini deck with a linen finish and a magician-designed origin, RAVN X mini-deck is the closer match.
Brother McPint Mini Size vs RAVN X mini-deck: which mini fits you
Both are 54-card mini decks, but they differ in finish and story. Brother McPint Mini Size emphasizes illustrated court cards and a foil-and-embossed tuckbox, while RAVN X mini-deck is a 4th-edition Ravn deck designed by Stockholm17 for magician Caroline Ravn, printed by WJPCC on linen-finish paper stock with a black paper tuckbox. If you want a themed, art-forward mini for casual play, Brother McPint fits. If you want a mini with a linen finish and a magic-oriented pedigree, RAVN X mini is the better pick.
Where Brother McPint Mini Size fits in a collection
At a catalog price of USD 7.92 against a comparison price of USD 12.00, Brother McPint Mini Size sits at the affordable end of custom mini decks. It pairs well with a larger display deck from the same Stockholm17 universe, such as Le Voyage du Chat Rouge, a 56-card poker-size deck with hand-illustrated cat art and watercolor pips. Keep the mini for carrying and the poker-size deck for display or table play.
Decision rules for buying a mini deck
- Choose Brother McPint Mini Size if you carry a deck daily: The 54-card mini size and foil-embossed tuckbox make it a pocket-friendly option for solitaire or quick two-player games. Best for everyday carry and travel where space is tight.
- Choose RAVN X mini-deck if you want a linen finish: RAVN X mini is a 4th-edition Ravn deck designed for magician Caroline Ravn, printed by WJPCC on linen-finish stock. Pick this when card feel and a magic pedigree matter more than illustrated courts.
- Skip both minis if you need poker-size handling: Mini cards are about half the size of a regular deck, which makes shuffling and fanning harder for most adults. Choose a poker-size deck such as Le Voyage du Chat Rouge for table play or display.
