A first look at the award-winning House of the Rising Spade Gilded Cartomancer deck: gilded edges, gold foil, and custom court cards explained.
Quick Answer
The House of the Rising Spade Gilded Cartomancer is a luxurious, award-winning deck with gilded edges and gold foil on every card, ideal for collectors who value premium craftsmanship.
Why the Gilded Cartomancer Stands Out
This third edition builds on the original's acclaim with gilded edges and golden geometry on the court cards. The gold foil application covers both sides of all cards, giving the entire deck a consistent, premium feel.
The deck includes 52 cards plus 4 jokers, all in poker size. The custom illustrated court cards and jokers are a highlight for those who appreciate detailed artwork.
If you're comparing this to standard decks, the main trade-off is that the gilded edges and foil may show wear with heavy handling, so it's best suited for display or light use.
