The Orbis Triplex

A relic shrouded in mystery, the Orbis Triplex is an archaeofantasy artifact intricately woven into the narrative of The Eye of the Ocean. Its true purpose is hidden within the novel’s pages, but its significance becomes undeniable as it plays a pivotal role in the enigmatic quest tied to the Kickstarter campaign.

More than just a relic, the Orbis Triplex is a conversation-starter—a mesmerizing decorative piece that will leave your guests questioning its origin. Did you uncover it in the depths of a forgotten shipwreck, or perhaps in the ruins of an ancient Mesoamerican civilization?

But this artifact is far more than it seems. It is an essential key to unlocking the secrets of the quest, working in tandem with these mystical items:

  • The Malakim Deck of Cards
  • The Gibborim Deck of Cards
  • The Stone Golem Card Guard
  • The Eye of the Ocean: Tomus Unicum (the novel)

Its mystery awaits those bold enough to embrace its power.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Since it’s not as precise as a Swiss watch, there are some tolerances that might make it difficult to spin. It’s a very robust piece made of metal components, so if a dial seems stuck, simply disassemble it (using the screw on the bottom) and check for any metal residues on the edges. I recommend adding a washer to ensure the bottom dial spin smoothly.

Do not tighten the screw too much.

Additionally, the tuning fork fits into the hole of the top dial if pressed down firmly; otherwise, it may feel a bit wobbly. Don’t be too delicate.

Components:

  • tuning fork
  • top dial
  • pointers, 3 in one
  • astrolabe
  • outer rings with symbols
  • wooden base

Materials

  • Metal alloy in antique bronze finish
  • Wooden Base in walnut with laser-engraved text

The engraving on this thing is absurdly detailed, the way it’s described in the book actually jumps out at you when you hold it. I’ve had it on my shelf for a week and keep picking it up just to trace the lines. It’s exactly the kind of physical anchor that makes the story feel more real.

For a piece tied so deeply to *The Eye of the Ocean*, the weight and finish feel appropriately ancient, and the way it catches light makes you notice new details in the carvings each time. It’s a conversation starter on my shelf, and I keep picking it up just to turn it over in my hands.

Michael ★★★★★

The engraving detail on the outer ring caught the light in a way that made the whole thing feel older than its years. I spent a good hour just turning it over and rereading the passages in *The Eye of the Ocean* that reference it, and it genuinely deepened the story for me. If you're into lore-drive
